ABOUT THE SUMMIT

Emerald International Conference 2024 is the first far-eastern hemisphere Emerald Publishing conference that aims to bring together journal Editors, editorial members, reviewers and authors across social sciences disciplinary to discuss some contemporary issues pertaining to research and publishing as well as provide avenues for advancing research collaboration and impact.

Conference Objectives

To bring together Editors, editorial members, reviewers, authors, authors and young career researchers in this region to share and discuss current and future research and publication landscape.

To meet editors and editorial members of social science journals published in Emerald Publishing in this region, and share about these journals, editorial and reviewing experience, publishing ethics, and collaboration opportunities.

To provide opportunities to researchers in this region to be included as ad hoc reviewers, editorial members and guest editors of special issues.

To recognise the achievements of Editors and Emerald Literati Winners in 2024

Conference Objectives (For Emerald)

To position as the first Emerald cross-regional event with the aim to become the largest independent publisher.

To establish a strong network with Editors and editorial members in this region and foster effective partnerships with individuals and institutions in research, publication, and real impact. An opportunity to invite more than 40 Editors across 30 journals in this region.

To increase the “author base” in this region and thus further strengthen downloads, readership, journal metrics and impact on the real world. An opportunity to invite new authors, and retain authors (more than 9500 authors in 2023).

To innovate, strategize and map out the initiatives of Emerald Publishing in relation to the current and future research and publication ecosystem. An opportunity to showcase other portfolios such as Books, Teaching Cases, EPS and ICEP.
