MEREMBEH VILLAGE BAU
A Serene Village from Bau, Sarawak
Merembeh Village also known as Merembeh Caving Park was originally a community-based tourism initiative, where the management of the caves and food stalls was done by the villagers themselves. Currently it is administered and under the management of the Merembeh Bau Village Cooperative Berhad.
There are two large caves in this park, namely Gua Posih and Gua Kayu. Both of these caves served as hiding places for the village inhabitants during the colonial era and hold many historical artifacts.
